Sales Representative Part Time/ Full Time
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Sales Representative is responsible for identifying new opportunities for Stroud Media by visiting new and existing customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This associate has the following key responsibilities:
- Generates new sales with small to medium business customers within Stroud Media Network area
- Makes presentations to various groups
- Engages in Marketing Sales and Strategies within a Marketing Budget, including Door-to-Door business sales
- Follows through on all customer requests
- Acts as lead person on preparing written proposals
- Acts as technical representative during initial contact with customer
- Works with management and marketing to devise new sales strategies
- Maintains active presence in all markets
- If applicable, organizes training programs with town libraries, schools, civic organizations, chamber of commerce, etc.If applicable, works trade shows or other hometown events
- Sells commissionable items at agreed rates
- Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates with the following qualifications should apply:
- High school education or equivalent required
- Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the field of computer science, computer technology, or business administration preferred
- The ability to listen well, troubleshoot problems, and convey technical knowledge in an understandable way
- Must be self-disciplined with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Proficient in the use of Internet, Microsoft Office & Windows software
- Must be able to maintain a calm and professional demeanor
